Effective May 2nd 2011 we are in our new offices. We are in our new premises in Palazzo Serbelloni, in Corso Venezia 16, one of the nicest building in Milano. This is the place where the King of Sardinia (Vittorio Emanuele II di Savoia) and future King of Italy, proclaimed the annexion of Lombardy to the Sardinian Kingdom, which was the kernel of the soon-to-be Italian Kingdom.
I deal almost exclusively with the fields of practice that interest me most (and that I have most fun with): Technology, Free Software (AKA "open source), Law in the Digital Space. After fourteen years of general practice -- always with a growing emphasis in the field -- I have decided to specialize where I have found more enjoyment and human as well professional enrichment.
This would not have been possible -- as I wrote in the first announcement of a new practice -- without "a little help from my friends" (yes, it was a quote from Ringo Starr's song). In other words, without the kind and worthy support of colleagues, friends and clients that have been beyond my best expectations in the transition, and that I now would like to thank.
I became member of the Board of euroITcounsel, the network of IT Law expert lawyers that I contributed founding back in 1997.
The group has among its members some of the most important law firms – both niche and full service ones – in the main jurisdictions in Europe. It is a fact that while working of one of my most relevant cases ever, two of the member firms were hired by the opposite party.
